NOTE: Every effot is made to correct ALL reported bugs before a new release
is sent out. If you find a bug, let us know ASAP, if you think of
something to add, let us know.
Version 1.27
- Fixed a problem with "Illegal function call" error on some
Windows 95 and OS/2 systems
- Improved the way actions are displayed to the user
- Inproved the way the quick heal function displays
Version 1.26
- No more NAG screens and only a 5 second startup delay
- Fixed a stack overflow problem (hit the memory limit again...)
- Mentioned setting files to Read Only in DOCs
- Added ability for a specially compiled version to isolate problems

- Newly created NPCs will have stats closer to what players and
monsters of similiar level would be expected to have
- Changed method of accepting chat lines. Now users can change the
first character entered and abort lines. (Blank lines are aborted)
Version 1.25
- Added basic RIP support, more graphics will be added later
- Users now just type one line for chatting (much quicker)
- Players are notified of the gold, gems and exp they earn from
killing other players and vanadians
- Attacking command is now /A (much quicker)

- Actions that do not require a node or handle no longer ask for it
- Many actions have been modified to work without prompting for a
handle (expressions such as GROAN, GROWL, ANGRY etc)
- Many more actions do things to players and NPCs...
- Help screen now seperates actions from expressions
- Players may now try to steal gems, and rob other players while in
the arena.
- NPCs are created with less gems from now on
- Fixed a problem with global variables
- Fixed a problem with negative stats on NPCs (integer overflow)
- Changed the prompt for the Ctrl-E answerback
- Corrected some spelling errors
- Fixed problems with displaying ANSI graphics to RIP terminals
- Fixed a problem with staying in RIP when returning to LORD
- Fixed problems with reading drop file on some systems (definetly
disabled now), this would cause the wrong player info to show up
Version 1.24
- Fixed a problem with Minerva looping
- Fixed a problem with the UNINSTALLED prompt being to far to the
right
- Using a new compiler for better memory usage
- May need SHARE.EXE loaded on all systems to run the IGM, even
single line machines
Version 1.23
- Added support for another IGM to be released soon (free for
registered user's of this IGM)
- Fixed a problem with inventories displaying incorrectly when a new
user takes over an old account
- Updated some of the internal memory handling code
- Added a prompt to warn users not to touch the keyboard during the
check for answers to Ctrl-E
Version 1.22
- changed name of the IGM to Vanadia's Arena of Warriors to avoid
confusion with future stand alone game.
- Changed documentation to reflect that all IGMs may now be used
independently.
- Added an option to NOT show IGMs if they are not installed on the
system, but will detect them when they are installed. This will
let SysOps pick and choose what they want to install.
Version 1.21
- Using a new option to pack the executable files to decrease size.
- Optimized the Arena actions more to speed up processing (users will
probably not notice since the actions are slowed down on purpose,
but CPU usage should be less.)
- Fixed the problem with stack overflow errors, this was a result
of adding additional functions to the code.
- Made it so the Gypsy can never have more than 3000 Gems and
1,000,000,000 gold. Players can only receive a part of this pot,
but errors could occur when reading or writing to the GYPSY.DAT
file.
- Changed the Description of Vanadia when it is installed into the
LORD 3RDPARTY.DAT, it now says Journey to The Realm of Vanadia
Version 1.20
- Added the inventory ability to this IGM. Users can now carry
objects from one IGM to another throughout The Realm of Vanadia.
This is a major addition that will aide in quests, and overall game
play.
- Added a test for Compuserve Quick-B transfers when Vanadia starts up
This test will warn users to turn off the auto response, or some
areas of Vanadia may behave erratically. The most noticable problem
with auto responses is the scrolling of the Gather Flowers menu, but
any ansi that has a Club symbol (ASCII character 5).
- Added a feature that will not allow NPC's to be regenerated until
a different user enters The Realm of Vanadia. This will keep users
from being able to go in and out just to have NPCs regenerated.
- Changed the way user information is displayed, made it much nicer
- Added another check to make sure that players can not perform ANY
actions with dead NPC characters.
Version 1.12
- Configuration program has been improved
- Empty accounts are now ignored
- Much less memory usage, probably 40k
- Integration with other IGMs is more seemless, due to the
removal of the delays inside of The Realm of Vanadia
- Vanadians are much more likely to heal themselves if they
have the money. This makes for better fights in the Arena.
- Some new actions have been added to the arena, one of which HEAL
will allow players to heal each other...
